Dyed Indian Cock Neck

Compared to chicken feathers, the feathers on these necks are slightly stiffer. Dyed Indian Cock Neck are usually used to tie tails or wings of streamers, but have many other applications.

You can use these soft feathers as a hackle, around the hook shank, giving your streamer an attractive silhouette and with a lot of movement feeling, just what fishes adore. Many fly tyers use them to tie, for example, Wooly Bugger.

When tying nymphs or wet flies, these feathers create very cool leg imitations. You can also use the rachis to tie the body of your dry flies.
