American-made Orvis Mission 2026 two-handed fly fishing rods are built right here in Vermont using award-winning Helios™ rod technology.
On the water, these rods deliver a combination of performance and castability, with blanks designed to dampen vibrations, making every cast easier and more accurate. The Mission series is made up of 10 rods, from 11' Switch and Trout Spey rods to 13'6" Full Spey models. Blanks are matte black with orange accents, and each has a quick rod identifier.
We have added composite cork on the grip in high-wear areas. Each rod is finished with REC RECOIL® snake guides, a Ti stripping guide with SiC insert, and a down-locking, self-indexing machined aluminum reel seat with a burl hardwood insert. And it’s all served up in an orange tube with a Mission signature sock.
The Mission Two-handed 7-Weight 11' allows for multiple casting techniques with one fly rod.
The Mission Two-Handed 7-Weight 11' Fly Rod is a versatile option for smaller tributaries of coastal rivers or the Great Lakes in the pursuit of summer-run steelhead or other anadromous fish.
Great for tight spots and also excellent for overhead casting indicator rigs with good reach for line control. The option to use a conventional cast or a two-hand cast makes the Mission 117-4 an excellent way to add multiple technique options to your fishing.
The versatile Mission Two-Handed 8-Weight 11' Fly Rod throttles wobble for long, precise casts.
If you're looking for versatility and the ability to adapt to different techniques in different situations, the Mission Two-Handed 8-Weight 11' Fly Rod is a great investment.
Whether you like to use two-handed methods to swing indicator rigs, or big streamers in rivers and tidal currents, or use an overhead cast across big water, the Mission 118-4 is a terrific option for steelhead, salmon, and other anadromous fish. With this versatile rod, you can adapt to what the fish and the water present and be more efficient doing it.
