Cyprinid Bait Fish Mallard Fly

A hot morning in July, barbel on the banks. I present a Chernobil, the first one gets scared and so on up to 12 barbel. I stop to observe and see that they are attacking very small fish. I change flies and cast a Bait Fish Mallard. I give a pull, stop, another pull and the barbel go for it like a missile. This was the first of a hot day of fishing.

This fly has worked very well for me on very hot days.
