Orvis Mission Spey rods have the power and strength needed to handle fast-flowing waters, large flies, and strong fish. Manufactured in the United States, they are built in Vermont using award-winning Helios™ technology.
On the water, these rods offer a combination of performance and casting ease, with blanks designed to dampen vibrations, making each cast easier and more accurate.
The Mission series consists of 10 rods, ranging from 11' Switch and Trout Spey rods to 13'6" Full Spey models. The blanks are matte black with orange accents, and each has a quick rod identifier. We've added composite cork to the handle in the areas of greatest wear.
Each rod is finished with REC RECOIL® snake guides, a Ti guide with SiC insert, and a machined aluminum reel seat with a downlock and self-locking mechanism with a hardwood insert. And it all comes in an orange tube with a distinctive Mission protector.
Versatile for both Skagit and Scandi, Orvis Mission Short Spey Fly Rods are designed for large bodies of water when the summer steelhead run is in full swing. Long enough to execute the two-handed casts necessary for large bodies of water, yet light enough to make catching salmon and steelhead a real adrenaline rush.
Available in weights from #6 to #8 so you can cast everything from small flies, such as the Hobo Spey, to heavy streamers for salmon and steelhead.
